2 Fireballs caught on the night of 16 to 17 April, 2019
Last night was a busy night for the AMS: 2 very bright fireball events occurred less than 6 hours apart: one over Germany and one over Delaware (see from Washington DC, Maryland, North Carolina, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia and Delaware).
Fireball over North & South Carolina on April 4th, 2019 6:50am EST
We received over 900 reports so far about of a slow and bright fireball seen above South and North Carolina on Thursday, April 4th 2019 around 6:50am EDT (10:50 Universal Time). The event was mainly seen from the Carolinas but we also received reports from Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Tennessee and Virginia.
Fireball over US Northern East Coast on March 28th, 2019
The AMS has received over 260 reports so far about of a bright fireball seen above the Ashokan Reservoir, NY on Thursday, March 28th 2019 around 6:13am EST (10:13 Universal Time). The event was mainly seen from Connecticut and Pennsylvania but we also received reports from Washington DC, Delaware, Massachusetts, Maryland, Maine, New Hampshire, New York, Rhode Island, Vermont and West Virginia. We also received a video of the event.

We received two amazing photos of the meteorite dropping fireball that occurred over Cuba on Feb. 1, 2019.
Fireball over Colorado
A bright fireball has been spotted over Colorado on Thursday February 7th, 2019 around 6:13pm MST (Jan 8, 2019 - 01:13 Universal Time). So far, we received over 100 reports about this event and multiple photos of what looks like a smoke trail left behind the fireball.

Bright Fireball over San Francisco Bay
The AMS has received over 120 reports so far about of a fireball seen above the San Francisco area on December 19th, 2018 around 5:35am PST (Nov. 20th 01:35 Universal Time). The event was seen primarily from Northern California but was also seen from Nevada and Oregon.
Fireball over Missouri on August 27th
The AMS has received over 500 reports so far about of a fireball event seen above Missouri on August 27th, 2018 around 8:40pm CDT (August 28th 01:40 Universal Time). The fireball was seen primarily from Missouri but was also seen from Kansas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Illinois, Iowa, Indiana and Nebraska.
Meteorite fall in Arizona on July 27th
A meteorite has been found in Arizona. The fall has been recorded by an AMS camera.
Fireball over Iowa and Illinois on July 8th
The AMS has received nearly 600 reports so far about of a fireball event seen above Iowa and Michigan on July 8th, 2018 around 8:40pm CDT (July 9th 01:40 Universal Time). The fireball was seen primarily from Iowa and Illinois but was also seen from Minnesota, Indiana, Kansas, Nebraska, Ohio, Michigan and Wisconsin.
Bright Fireball over Belgium on June 16th
The AMS and the IMO (International Meteor Organization) have received over 165 reports so far about of a fireball event seen above Belgium on June 16th, 2018 around 21:11 Universal Time. The fireball was seen primarily from Balgium but was also seen from France, Germany and the Netherlands.
Bright Fireball spotted over Michigan
The AMS has received over 610 reports so far about of a fireball event seen above Michigan on January 16th, 2018 around 08:10pm EST (January 17th 01:10 Universal Time). The fireball was seen primarily from Michigan but was also seen from Illinois, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana, Missouri and Ontario (Canada).

The AMS has received over 55 reports so far about of a fireball event seen above Florida on December 5th, 2017 around 6:35pm EST (11:35 Universal Time). This event has been caught on tape by at least 2 witnesses.
Bright Fireball over Pennsylvania
The AMS has received over 120 reports so far about of a fireball event seen above Pennsylvania on December 2nd, 2017 around 03:10am EST (08:10 Universal Time). The fireball was seen primarily from Pennsylvania but was also seen from 12 other states.
Four Major Fireballs within Ten Hours
The AMS has received over 1320 fireball reports about 4 different events that occurred over the US, France and Germany. Two events can linked to the Taurid meteor shower.
Fireball over New York
The AMS has received over 200 reports so far about of a fireball event seen above NY State on November 11th, 2017 around 09:20pm EST (02:20 Universal Time). The fireball was seen primarily from New York and Pennsylvania but was also seen from Michigan, New Jersey, Maryland, Virginia, Ohio, Massachusetts, Delaware, Connecticut, West Virginia, Vermont and Ontario and Québec (Canada).
Bright Daytime Fireball over Long Island, NY
The AMS has received nearly 200 reports so far about of a daytime fireball event seen above NY State on October 18th, 2017 around 03:00pm EDT (19:00 Universal Time). The fireball was seen primarily from New York and New Jersey but was also seen from Connecticut, Delaware, Rhode Island, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Maryland and New Hampshire.
Bright Fireball over Lancaster County, PA
The AMS has received over 200 reports so far about of a fireball event seen above Maryland and Pennsylvania on September 17th, 2017 around 00:59am EDT (04:59 Universal Time). The fireball was seen primarily from Maryland and Pennsylvania but was also seen from New York, Virginia, Delaware, New Jersey, Ohio and Massachusetts.
British Columbia Fireball – September 4th, 2017
The AMS has received over 300 reports so far about of a fireball event seen above the province of British Columbia (Canada) on September 4th, 2017 around 10:14pm PDT (September 5th, 2017 ~ 05:14 Universal Time). The fireball was seen primarily from British Columbia but was also seen from Alberta and Saskatchewan as well as from Washington, Idaho and Montana.
