Remarks | Already looking at that part of sky when meteor appeared, so I saw the whole event. Started perhaps 10 degrees west of Vega, ended between Cassiopeia and Perseus. Passed within a few degrees of Polaris. The amazing part was the relative slowness and width, while only being about as bright as Venus |
