Terminal flash | |
---|---|
Observation | Yes |
Remarks | I saw the flash first, it was so bright, I thought it was a truck or tractor or maybe a combine out in the fields. This is why I looked off to the west as I was driving north. This area is very dark, no streetlights and not much residential lighting at the farms. After the bright flash I saw a very short trail that turned into a shower of glowing fragments. Awesome! I've never seending anything like it. I've seen a lot of shooting stars but nothing like this. I wish I could have seen it before the flash. |
Fragmentation | |

Observation | Yes |
Remarks | Super bright flash through my driversidewindow as I headed north. Pure white, very quick duration. Small shower of fragments, Orange, almost looked like a fireworks display but way up in the sky with no audible report. |
