1983 I witnessed a meteor that was so close to my camp site the sky light up and the con trail was approx 1000 feet above us. I thought it was a jet liner crashing it was loud. That happened in Chelsea Michigan Chrysler proving grounds. Bike marathon. Thanks jmurray
