It was surprisingly large, appearing to be maybe as big as one fourth the size of the full moon. It was fortunate we were stargazing and happened to turn to a look at the big Dipper at that precise moment. It was the most awesome thing we have ever witnessed in the night sky. AMAZING!!

It terminated behind some trees which obstructed our view somewhat, but it got very bright at the end and seemed to break up into smaller pieces.
