Reports Report 2231e (Event 2231-2017)

Observer
Name John W
Experience Level 2/5
Remarks I had let my dog out before retiring to bed, was looking to the east from my garden at a noisy overflying helicopter coming directly towards me, the meteor track, which moved from south to north almost intersected with the helicopter, the track appeared almost horizontal first seen emerging from behind trees and disappeared behind my neighbours house (#1 Barnfield) so I only viewed a small sector of the trajectory but recognised it as a Fire-Ball straight away. My neighbour and wife, at #3 Barnfield were also in their garden at the same time, we were unaware of each other until the event, but became aware that we had both observed a very rare event and had a short conversation about it. I am more certain of the time of the event as being 23:50 BST as I did look at my watch at the time.
