Remarks Dappled white tube, diameter of pencil in outstretched hand. I was in 50 ft gap in deciduous trees with canopies, so could not see beginning or ending, only abt + 2 pencil lengths in outstretched hand. Streaked across gap in less or = 2 secs, not nearly as fast as shooting star, and then quickly dissipated in the dark night sky. Was dark enough could make out 40% of brightness of Milky Way about. Note, from my angle it started just east of Polaris and ended up in the center of the bucket ladle of Ursa Major. So, it could have been longer. If there was a terminal flash, didn't notice, but forest +50 ft that direction.
