It was really fast- like a if you sped up a shooting star. The "head" or meteor part was like a ball and easily identifiable from the tail, which pointed eastward (SE?) while the meteor moved the opposite direction and disappeared. The tail seemed to linger for a fraction of a second after the meteor itself disappeared.
