Reports Report 2449jg (Event 2449-2017)

Observer
Name Forrest L
Experience Level 2/5
Remarks I first noticed it virtually straight above us or only about five or ten degrees to the east from vertical. It appeared to be going almost due north. It had a bright blue-green (mostly bright green) tail that was very long (10 degrees in the sky?) and remained the same length and was solid and wider than I had ever seen in my 69 years without any breaks throughout the event. The entire path must have covered about two-thirds of the northern sky measured from vertical to Horizon although it could have traveled some before I saw it. The tail was a good 10 - 15 degrees long and maintained that length throughout the event. At the very last second or two the "head" changed to Orange and then the head and tail died quickly.
