Remarks | Saturday night, 10pm. I am sitting in my moon lit camp site near the Hamma Hamma river, when all of a sudden I see it. At first it is bright, large flicker of light as it passes behind the tall ever greens. My eyes track it to the only clearing between the trees and the ridge. It was was tear drop in shape, bright white light surrounded it, with a fiery orange head and a flowing blue flame behind it. At first I don't believe that I am seeing it at all, in such perfect clarity. Movement slow enough to track, close enough to make out detail. It was low in the night sky, and had a shallow arc across the horizon. |
