Remarks | Sky was very clear with some light from sunrise. Extremely bright white tear shaped fireball object with short smoke tail that dissipated quickly; but since windows were down, wind noise was louder than sound, if present, while my car was travelling near 70 mph. Could not determine if it was somewhat small and near, or quite large and further away, as it dissappeared behind tree line. With tree line over 100 yards away, smallest size of object would likely be similar to a living room recliner. Other cars were near me heading in same direction on Interstate (southbound). Definitely big enough to create impact crater; but did not see any smoke plume or flash from impact (which was beyond my view from trees / or maybe even beyond horizon, if larger and further away). |
