Experience Level | 3/5 |
Remarks | Occurred between approx 8:40-9pm EDT. It was a relatively short streak, in length. Medium thickness of the line. Lasted approx 2 seconds. I happened to be laying on a rooftop chaise, with my eyes skyward, and the meteor crossed my field of vision. Could not hear if there was accompanying noise, due to metropolis noise. Looking southward, but angles given are approximate. Rare in Manhattan. Happened once before, while I sat in same location, 2011July13 at 10pm, in a slightly different part of sky, and a much bigger, longer meteor. |
