I was in my location to get a better view of the aurora borealis that was active that night. It is a high location (hence the wind turbines) with good views in most directions. The moon was setting if not already set in the west when I made my observation just after midnight.

Remarks
I was facing the ground when I saw the ground light up. I looked to the sky and nearly directly overhead as I faced towards the turbine to my east. I then saw the white fireball already broken into 2 or 3 pieces. Between the first flash I saw on the ground and the last of it was maybe 2 seconds.

Yes
Remarks
When I actually saw the white fireball, it was already in two or three pieces.
