Experience Level | 1/5 |
Remarks | My wife and I both witnesses it; as well as, the couple in the car following us. That is how I know the exact time, as I called them from my cell phone to see if they had seen it too. Not having experience with this sort of thing, but sighting commercial jets almost daily on their routes over the Lufkin area, this object seemed much closer, only a few thousand feet away. It gave the impression that if one were to put forth the effort, they could find where the objects landed. Probably not, but it looked that low in the sky. |

Terminal flash | |
---|---|
Observation | No |
Remarks | It flared up very suddenly and was very bright whitish blue with flashes of green with a distinct tail. As it progressed east to west it began to diminish and just as it seemed to fade it seemed to break into or give off orange pieces. At this point it was lost to sight by the tall pines along the road. |
