Remarks | At about 7 o\'clock Sunday morning, Oct. 23rd, I was standing on my back porch in the predawn darkness of Austin when suddenly a large bright white fireball streaked a fourth of the way across the sky from WNW to ESE above me. A trail of white smoke marked where it had traversed that gradually was unevenly distorted by an upper atmospheric air movement from the north. |
