Remarks | The fireball was witnessed by myself and one of my son's two friends as we were walking back through Duthie Park, Aberdeen. The stars in the sky were clearly visible and we'd all just observed what looked like stationary light in the sky but turned out to be an aeroplane. As such our eyes were focussed on the sky when suddenly I and another boy spotted something very different, a sudden bright glowing object that lit up instantaneously, descended at an acute angle very fast and we could clearly see its trajectory before the light disappeared as quickly at it appeared. It was maybe 30degrees west of where the aeroplane was but much much higher up in the sky. We know the time was roughly 17:25-17:28pm as my son checked the time when we got home, as our house is right next to Duthie Park, some 200yards from where we saw the fireball. Hope this helps. |
