It got my attention because it was so bright and 3 times bigger than the 2 planes that were flying toward each other where I first saw the light and there is absolutely no way the planes didn’t see the fireball/light. I have no directional sense but I was walking on my street heading toward the back of the neighborhood walking my dogs so I asked my husband which direction that would be and he said North.
