Reports Report 177n (Event 177-2018)

Observer

Experience Level 3/5
Remarks I have seen several meteors during my 60 years, that ranked above the normal meteor showers.... being single, very bright green, closer than normal "falling stars".... this was the first that I can say that there was a definite bright red tip to the very long, very bright green trailing tail. My wife and I both witnessed this one... as I was taking her to work because the wind chill here today was -20 F. My wife loves weather and space... and we usually try to witness most meteor showers and even used to wake our kids to take them to the country to watch the meteor showers better.... I used to lay in the front yard with my dad and watch for falling stars and the satellites that existed when I was a kid... The angle of descent on this meteor was from left to right down at a 45-50 degree angle I would say in the north northeastern sky.
