Remarks | My husband was traveling south on I-55 at Pontiac IL when he witnessed the meteor out his window. He only got a quick glance at it. He was 45 - 50 miles away from us at the time. What was just a flash to him...was something we observed at much closer range. |

Remarks | white, brilliant, some smoke, trailing like a falling star, only *much nearer. Object and trail seemed to disappear together. From our angle it was hard to see both so there could have been some trailing after. |
