I couldn't use the mapping feature accurately on my iPhone. We were facing North-ish and it was in front of us on the right. It went almost straight down, slightly to the right. No stars were visible yet. It was dusk and it was very bright and looked relatively close.

The train was as bright as the meteor (if that is what it was). Thick solid looking tail that tapered slightly at the end.
