| Remarks | Observed by about 15 to 20 persons, we had a large fire in the river bed so it was brighter sort of blueish edges, rounded and stuck out in the sky notabley in size and brightness even with the brightness of the fire. It appeared to cross the entire Catalina Mountain Range from East/southeast to West/Northwest prior to flame out which seemed to occur somewhere above or beyond the city of Marana North West of Tucson. What struck many of us was the flatness of the overall trajectory as it was flat and traveld across our view with consistant size, and it also appeared lower in altitude than the Catalina Mountains elevation of 9500\', I would estimate maybe 7,000 to 8,000\' because we could see the shadow of the Mountain Range tops above the Meteor and its trail. What confirmed our thinking as to what we had seen was a call from a friend in Yuma, Az within 15 to 20minutes of our sighting from our friends explaining to us via cell phone seeing the what \'we deducted as the same or simular sighting we had just seen\' crossing their sky view. I check the local news KOLD and found no reports. Thanks for your time... |

| Remarks | It was dark very prominent, at first we thought it to be some sort of misguided early fireworks, however it was way to flat in trajectory crossing east to west the entire Catalina Mountain Range and extending at the west end where if flashed out was further than the entire Catalina Mountain range. We did not see great detail in fragmentation but there was some right at the end when it appeared to flameout. |
