Remarks | I swear this was seen for longer than 30 seconds as I was hiking down to my car- and this bright spot in the sky wasn't where Jupiter or Mars should have been, so I figured it was something else- but it was VERY bright. I was turning towards it during the flash and saw the sparkles/fragmentation. It was originally about a fist from the moon (also up). It must have moved very slowly then from my initial observation downwards. Scout reservation, no lights, sadly no camera. |
