Initially it seemed to approach from the north. Very bright, too bright and large to be an aircraft (I am a pilot). After about 10 secs it appeared to change direction (maybe 10 to 20 degrees to the east). All the time it was descending but very slowly and I lost sight of it possibly just south of Oxford.
