Remarks | This event was the first of its kind for me. I was heading southbound on the highway early this morning, and there were few other automobiles, lights from houses or street lamps; it was very dark. The event was also very quick; nearly over as soon as I realized what was happening. I have seen \"shooting stars\" as most people have, usually in the summer on a cloudless night, but the close proximity of this is what will stay in my memory. I can\'t imagine the object (if it was indeed a meteor) as being very large, and whatever residue it may have left upon the ground was probably small, and hopefully no person was in its path, or property damage done. I did send an E-Mail to the Shiawassee County (Michigan) Sheriff\'s office after I arrived at work, to let them know also what I saw. |
