Remarks | I live in the hills of Richmond CA (just north of El Cerrito), and while I have no visual images, I can report that I heard the sonic boom. I had just started the morning coffee and turned on the radio at 8 am, when I thought something had hit the house or (for a few milliseconds) that it was the start of an earthquake. That was all: a big boom that felt like it hit the house. I asked my son if he had dropped something (no, he was just grumpy that I woke him up), and looked outside to see if neighborhood kids were throwing baseballs at garage doors (they weren\'t--it was 8 am on a Sunday morning after all), and then had to settle for being puzzled until I read about the meteor on Monday morning. |
