Remarks I have never seen anything like this. The huge blue ball seemed to have a glistening firey orange outline from about a 3 to 7 O'Clock position. There was a long and quite large white tail that protruded from about the 8 to 12 O'Clock position. It was visible for several seconds, the ball seemed to arc very slightly and slowly seeming to be starting to drop when it just disappeared completely. Then, about a full minute later, I saw another event just a bit north of where I had seen the fireball. In this one, a column of white light seemed to rise from the horizon upward to just about the height of where the fireball had vanished. It seemed to grow straight up, stayed in the sky for a 2-4 seconds and then vanished as if someone had turned off a light switch.

This one appeared as a column of white light that seemed to come from the ground UP. It grew straight up to about 40 degrees, stayed there for approximately 2 or more seconds, and then seemingly vanished.
