| Remarks | This was absolutely different from a normal meteor. We love in the country and watch the perseid meteor shower every year. It was amazing, I\'ve never seen anything like it. I got so excited that I scared my kids, my son said he thought it was an airplane breaking apart. |

| Persistent train | |
|---|---|
| Observation | Yes |
| Duration | 8s |
| Length | 10° |
| Remarks | The train was shorter but considerably wider than any of the other meteors we saw in the perseid shower. In fact, at first it didn\'t appear to have a train at all and I thought it was a low flying plane. |

| Observation | No |
| Remarks | At first I thought it was a low flying airplane, it was like nothing I\'ve ever seen. I watched the \"airplane\" and suddenly it had a very short train, I told my husband to look and all of a sudden it broke into at least 3 very discernable pieces, each having their own trains. Each piece seemed to explode away from each other at once. |
