Remarks From my position on RT 78 Planes were landing at Newark airport from left to right at approx 25-30 degree angle. The fireball was heading towards the ground at a 45degree angle from right to left.

Remarks The fireball appeared as three green flashes heading towards the ground - right to left at a 45 degree angle. A white tail followed each green flash so it appeared to be a white streak punctuated with three green flashes heading towards the ground. The complete episode lasted about 2 or three seconds.
