Remarks I am a professional photographer and have been watching and photographing meteor showers for several years but had never seen a fireball before. We were eating outside on the patio of a restaurant when my wife suddenly pointed up and across the street, saying "what's that?". The fireball lasted several seconds and plenty of time for me and everyone else on the patio eating to see it before it faded out. It was still daylight with a half moon high in the sky but it was still bright enough to be clearly seen. Not exactly where or how I thought I would see my first fireball but it was absolutely amazing!
