I was on the phone at the time of the incident with my girlfriend. Whether this was coincidence or not, she heard a loud shrieking noise on her end of the line at the very exact time of the sighting (she did not hear my vocal exclamation of the sighting because there was a loud noise from her phone into her ear). There was no feedback or sound from my phone.

It was a white streak followed by a flash - like a firework had been fired from space into the atmosphere (imagine a reverse firework). There was no significant spread, but a bright flash before the streak was terminated.
