Remarks | I was driving home to Milford on the state route in my car. I was looking at about a perfect diagonal angle when it flashed downward very quickly above a hill. It was like an extremely thick bar of light. It was bright green, then the bottom of it turned red. It vanished very quickly. I knew that the next day, (12/13/12) there was supposed to shower, so I wasn't sure what it was. It wasn't until looking up a video of a bolide that I realized it may have been a meteor. I'm in no way whatsoever an expert on the subject, but the colors were identical to this video. ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RrL-cWaYdno ) Except the one I saw shot completely downward and didn't last anywhere near as long. |
