From where I was standing on a hill above the Aqua Caliente campsite, I was staring at Jupiter when the meteor lit up just left (south) and below (horizon) Jupiter. My wife and I saw it while on an evening stroll. Several people at a nature talk also saw it from the amphitheatre at Aqua Caliente.

Fragmented into 5 pieces that continued to burn for a very short time and sharply dropped from the trajectory of the meteor from first "lighting up" to the flash. The fragments decreased in luminosity quickly after fragmentation.
