Remarks | First time seeing something this bright - I've seen rockets and rocket plumes in the area, and am very used to aircraft and military aircraft flying around. This looked nothing like it and was much more intensely bright than I'd seen in the sky before. It reminded me heavily of footage of the Russian meteor, but it wasn't as long or as bright as it. I've taken a few courses in astronomy and watch a lot of shows about the universe on television. My dad even made comments regarding the fact we may have been able to see the near comet since it was low to the horizon but I do not believe that this was the comet since it was so bright then disappeared. It looks like the tell-tale appearance of a meteor, just in a green hue. |
