Reports Report 718g (Event 718-2013)

Observer
Name S H
Experience Level 4/5
Remarks I witnessed two separate events, occurring 2-3 minutes apart. The first event was also orange and fragmented as it was falling. The second event a few minutes later was a bit brighter than the first. I am a regular sky observer and have seen many typical "shooting stars". However, these two events were not typical. At one point I was thinking that it would not be able to burn out before hitting the ground. It appeared to fall very close to ground level.

Remarks As it was descending in a nearly straight down direction it appeared to break into a few pieces which were all glowing orange. I saw two separate events within 2 or 3 minutes apart from one another. Both events came from the same direction. The second event was a bit brighter than the first being -14.
