Reports Report 749n (Event 749-2013)

Observer
Name Alison U
Experience Level 1/5
Remarks This was a very, very large fireball with lots of color. It made a very sudden appearance as I happened to be observing the sky since it was a perfectly clear night. we have little to no light pollution making it easy to observe meteor showers. As mentioned in a previous box, the fireball moved from right to left (east toward north). I was standing facing the NE sky.

Remarks as it moved closer toward the horizon (from what seemed east to north- I was facing NE, it moved from my right to left) it seemed to fall apart with bursts of color: bright green, orange, yellow light blue. it had a whitish light blue long tail. very very bright, brighter than the moon...it hurt my eyes. I lost sight of it as it fell towards the horizon and it seemed to disappear. No sounds. It was amazing.
