Remarks | I was driving north on HWY 26 and I saw what I assume to be a fireball. It presumably came in the direction from behind my vehicle (south), because the first time I saw it it was in my windshield directly in front of me (north). It appeared for 1-2 seconds and was distinguishably something on fire - as it was close enough for me to see the the “core” or center of it with what appeared to be fire or flames surrounding it and a trail of light behind it. If I had to estimate the elevation of when I saw it, it seemed to be at the approximate elevation that a small plane flies at, but it’s hard to say because it was dusk. I pulled over and watched the sky to see if I saw any more others and I did not. |
