I was in the office building where I work. 20 floors up. Looking at the window that is directly across from the Louisiana State Capitol building that is 450 ft tall. For height reference from where I was looking to the sky and looking at the capitol, I'd say the light started around the top of the capitol building and stopped a little lower than mid way down.
