Remarks | I happened to look up just before the object broke up and disappeared, so it's possible it was visible in the sky longer than I saw it. I purposely listened for a noise/sonic boom after seeing it, but did not hear anything. The object was larger than any other meteor I've seen, but was probably many miles SSW of me. In my memory it seems that it was a white irregular blob with some black on the edges, then pieces broke off. I wondered if it was space junk rather than a natural meteor. Pretty cool thing to see. 🙂 |

Observation | Yes |
Remarks | Large white object flew almost straight down, from my perspective, then pieces broke off and spread out a bit from the main object, so the main glowing object was much smaller. |
Fragmentation | |

Observation | Yes |
Remarks | Several pieces flew out to the sides, then the main object and the pieces continued down for a second, then winked out like embers or a firework. |
