Remarks | I was on an Audubon Christmas Bird Count (owls), saw the entire fireball from entry to burn-up, it was bright red and yellow (sparkling) as it progressed. One member of our group witnesses approximately the last half of the fireball event - two members remarked the brightness of the surrounding woodland, which made them look up to see the train persisting for 5-6 minutes. Another member of our club told us later that she saw the bright light, which woke her up, from her bedroom window. |
