Around 22:00 hours I was sitting on my back deck. A light to my right (south) caught my attention. It was a blue orb with an orange train falling at an angle from west to east. I lost sight of it as it fell in front of my neighbors house. I listened for any sound of it splashing into the potomac river but it seemed like several seconds passed before I heard a sound that I'm not sure came from water or land. If it hit land it could have been in VA depending on how big it really was. I didnt feel the ground move so I dont think it hit the island. I wish I had ran down to the water to see what happened to it but to be honest I was looking for more. I thought it was a meteor but it was so big. I dont think it could have been left overs from the 4th cause I never heard any sound. Wish I got a picture. Beautiful! No other eye witness reports? St.Mary's County, Maryland or Virginia perhaps?
