Remarks | This is the second one I've seen. The first happened approximately 6 years ago. It was nighttime, can't remember the exact time or date but I was traveling North on the 14 fwy from Lancaster to Rosamond, exiting onto Rosamond Blvd when I saw what appeared to be a green flare streak across the hwy from west to east and no more than 40 feet in the air. That on had a horizontal trajectory as opposed to the one tonight that seemed to fall vertically. Same ending though, it just dissipated before impact with no sound. |

Remarks | Looked like sparks similar to a flare or fireworks then burnt out just before impact. It was very bright and appeared to travel nearly straight down as I looked to the SSW. I was traveling West. It's impact couldn't have been more than 600 yards from me. |
