I was running down by the fort belvoir met dock when I saw it shooting across the sky and break up. I was wearing head phones so I'm unsure if there was any sound associated with the entry. It was like a big bright shooting star and then is sparked and broke up at which time it started to have a trail. Then I lost it as it went down behind the trees from my point of view.

It started out like a fast really bright shooting star then it broke up and it had a bright white trail.
