Reports Report 1865c (Event 1865-2014)

Observer
Name Angela B
Experience Level 3/5
Remarks I have never reported a meteor, as I've seen many meteor showers. However, this startled me because it was such a huge flash of light that lit the sky BEHIND me, causing me to turn around and see a low meteor in the NE sky with a tail that was not long but quite wide and pointing mostly straight down and then immediately extinguishing completely. This was not the "streaking" sort of meteor I'm used to seeing. It reminded me more of the first night Hale Bopp was visible hanging in the sky short and fat.
