Remarks | The fireball started off yellow and turned green before it burnt out. There was a large thick trail behind it. This was not an ordinary sized fireball from what I have read. It was extremely large, perhaps 1/10th the size of the moon on a normal night. It was silent and was so bright that it lit up the night sky and made the clouds visible. The time was approx 10PM and the falling trajectory was almost straight downward with a slight angle to the right. The location was beneath the bucket on the big dipper, but very close to the horizon. |
