I was in my living room looking out through patio windows with clear view west up to 25 degrees above the horizon where view was then obstructed by over hanging balcony. I immediately held my upright fist out at arms length to judge the angle through which the fireball passed, figuring 5 deg per fist-height. I believe my view observed maybe 50% of the event as I saw the trail brighten from about -1 mag to -8 or -9 then end abruptly after bright flash. I often set up my telescope to observe from my patio so I am pretty sure about the azimuth of the event ending just a degree or so north of due west and trailing downward almost vertically from my perspective with no more than a few degrees (3-5) slant north-to-south in the overall east-to-west track.
