I'm a night watchman and work 11PM to 7AM. I was driving from plant 11 to plant 17 around 4:45AM eastern time when out the top of my front windshield I saw this green light suddenly appear and it looked like a Green Flare falling from the sky, not streaking across the sky. I knew I was seeing an extraordinary celestial event either a meteor or space junk streaking down and I reported it to my boss on a separate piece of paper and stuck it to my watchman report. I knew this had to have been seen by someone else and I searched online for info on it but it must have been too early so I figured I would check the next day. When I came to work the next night I told a co worker and he told me he saw on the news that people reported seeing what I saw. I could swear this wasn't streaking across the sky and it looked as if it came down in the woods on company property just a few hundred yards away from me. Could I have seen a fragment of this object that broke off and hit the ground?

Don't know what this is. It just suddenly appeared bright green and streaking straight down. Didn't last long then vanished into an area behind trees.

It looked like it dived down from the sky like a green flare or large military tracer round and landed on my companies property in a wooded area. At first thought it was space junk that came down near me and was surprised to hear the next day that it streaked across the sky all the way into PA.
