We were stopped at a red light, when I noticed the bright green outline of an object in the sky on the left side of my windshield. It seemed to be an irregularly shaped black object with a green glow surrounding it. It arced slightly downward from left to right for a short distance with a bit of a green trail behind it before it instantaneously disappeared in the clear sky that was still visible through my windshield. It was still fairly high in the sky when it disappeared and did not travel all the way down to the horizon.
