Remarks | Only the end of the fireball was spotted, as movement must have attracted my attention, so apparent path is probably partial, and magnitude may not be the brightness peak, and it may have been more luminous, aspecially if observed higher in the sky! Path was nearly vertical with the horizon ; position is accurate, and I just checked the orientation of the observation on GoogleEarth thanks to trees (it appears between a void between 2 patches of trees), a compass, and the actual sky (it appeared in the same azimuth where Mizar/Alcor are right now from the same position I spotted the fireball, which is 55° in azimuth right now. |
