It was very clear out last night and I am at a very high elevation 600+ feet above sea level.

Remarks
I thought someone lit off fireworks at first, then I realized the light was going down not up but the explosion that followed looked like a mushroom of lights
Terminal flash
Observation
Yes
Remarks
The light I saw was a streak of light very thin and then it set off an explosion of lights like when you use a sparkler firework. The streak of light went from right to left and the train of sparklers came immediately after. Only only lasted a few seconds and left me speachless to call to my husband who happened to also be awake with me but missed it.
