Wow! I'm not sure what it was - satellite debris? A meteor? Hopefully not a crash. But I was watching tv and my very dark rural neighborhood got very bright and something blindingly bright went from overhead towards the northern horizon and broke up and gave a brief, last flash. I'm very curious to know what it was.

Remarks
It seemed like a helicopter at first, as all the trees lit up but with a wavering light. I've never seen a helicopter here before. Then it seemed to break up into pieces, followed by a brief flash and went dark.
